Last night you saw Sam Peter and Eddie Chambers adorned in all their glorious fat. Create another division and they will just get fatter. 90% of these modern super-heavies are unnaturally large. A few are too muscular but most are just plain fat. If they went back to old fashioned boxing training the pounds would melt away.

that's kinda why a 249lb cap on the heavyweights would make them train harder and be the HW champion of the world. Just like cruiserweight, Who cares about them? There isn't much stock in them. Like the superHW would be. Freak shows boring fighters, fat slobs can stay there and sumo fight themselves all day. Then the HW's will have to train to get in shape and stay there or its off to the supers!

Putting a 240lbs lid on H/W would improve the division, but really the only thing to save it will be when the sisters retire.
