Mosley only has 1-3 mega fights left in him. Fact is, not only would he make more money fighting Manny, Miguel, Ricky, or Floyd, but each would be more exciting to the fans too. Shane isn't fighting just opponents now, he's fighting time. And BIG PICTURE, Paul Williams isn't worth it. Ya Paul is a good fighter, but he's not a big name like those other guys, and thats HIS fault. Names are just as big a part of boxing AND MMA, as anything else, and he has done a ****ty job his whole career of making himself a great market. If anyone feels bad for Paul it's ridiculous. And if he's sooooooooo tough like everyone is making him out to be, then go fight those bigger guys who your naturally sized up with.

Margarito was "the most avoided man in boxing" for a lil while there, and eventually he got exposed. Now Shane, and half the other people he beat, don't get HALF the props for beating them. If Shane beat him, people would say the same **** about Paul about how he was exposed by Shane...making the rewards HALF the size of what the build up would make it to be.

The only thing Shane is doing wrong is ****ing taking such a big lay off.

They're not scared of him, they just don't want to lose, which is not the same thing. Or in the case of Clottey, Arum and HBO killed it even though Williams and Clottey both wanted to fight each other. Arum is probably also the real reason Margarito and Cotto won't fight him.

You can't say he hasn't been trying to get fights with all of the top Welters. How can he "do anything" if the top Welterweights won't fight him? But beating Winky, if he manages it, would be a very good win. Knocking out Verno Phillips was a very solid win, too.

He would probably fight Floyd Mayweather Jr - if Floyd decides to make an official return to the ring. Last week, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer revealed that Mosley had absolutely no interest in fighting WBC champion Andre Berto. Mosley himself has gone on the record and told The Ring Online that a Williams fight is not appealing to him. Mosley does not believe their two styles will match up well. [details]
Mosley would KO Williams, if Williams gets past Winky, Mosley should go after him.

He should, but he's already said he won't.

I like Mosely but his reason why he won't fight P. Will is bogus. They have perfect styles to make a good fight. They are both offensive minded and aim for a KO. This would be a fight that I'm sure a lot of people would like to see. It can't be worse than that joke of a fight that Mosely/Mayorga was nor the borefest Williams/Wright will be. Moselyshould just be honest and say he wants a bigger payday.

Kind of ****** to jump to a conclusion that its everything to do with Williams. Mosley is near the end of career and its smart for him to fight the bigger money fights. It doesn't really change his legacy that much even if he beat Paul Williams. Yes, PW is a dangerous young WW who poses a threat to almost evey fighter in the division, but doesn't really mean much for Mosley to beat him. Much more value if he beats Pac or Floyd Jr, plus the money.

Mosley got massive props for beating Margarito, and he'd get a lot of props if he beat Williams, if Williams can beat Winky first.

Boxing is a sport, not just a business. In any sport, you have to compete against the best to call yourself the best. You don't hear top tennis players refusing to play each either because one of them doesn't consider the other to be a big enough name. And in any case, Mosley did not give that as his reason for not fighting Williams. The reason he gave in this article was that "Mosley does not believe their two styles will match up well". In another recent television interview he said he didn't want to fight Williams because "he's too tall". Nothing to do with money, it's just because he doesn't have a good track record against tall fighters.

Of course he doesn't want to fight Paul. What a p*ssy. I actually had respect for Shane too. He wants fights with guys who are too way small...coward.

Mosley doesn't have much left in the tank...either physically or mentally, he's wrapping up his career in 1-3 more bouts

But either way........NOBODY wants part of Paul Williams

Unless Winky Wright can show some serious kinks in his armour
