I agree the fight should have been called off at the end of round 1.

But then again if Barrera dominated Khan from rounds 2-4 and the ref called it off just before 4 rounds have been complete then they would blame the ref for not giving Barrera a chance to get a win.

Don is gona win this one, his case is so strong he cant fail, the rematch is going to and should happen, then we will see the truthful outcome, and we know what that will be, MAB getting a knock out between rounds 6 and 8

yes true they would have complained but the diffrence would have been it would have been stopped early because of the cut and not to give Khan a descision in round 5, so in that case they wouldnt have had a cae but in the present situation they have a very real very strong case.

Yeah but if Barrera was dominating Khan then obviously the cut wouldn't of been an issue/hindering him. The reason why the fight should of been ruled a NC: is because Barrea was given a disadvantage via an accidental headbutt.

As for the late filling of the protest. These things dont come to press straight away, plus King would have had to consult his lawyers etc so it's cant possible the offical complaint was lodged within a week and we're only hearing about it now.

I've always wondered how you get to be a ring doctor. Is it some kind of Patty Hearst-type situation where the WBC/A/etc. kidnap you, beat your feet with sticks and then brainwash the Hippocratic Oath out of you? thats not really the case, Khan was even showing signs of fading by round 5, I highly doubt he could keep up his pace for 12 rounds.

fading???-why lie when he clearly wasnt? iv watched khan his whole career and if im honest with you he wasnt even out of 2nd gear!! khan has amazing stamina he just never needs to use it as they all usually fall over before the 12th round.. barrera was saved from being embarassed and put down as all khan was waiting for was a "go get him boy" from freddie and khan would have gone for the kill.. you can question his chin but nothing else as everything else is just about perfect..

i agree.. barrera would have got knocked out between rounds 6 and 8.
