when i first heard about this fight i figured hopkins was just talking out loud humoring himself.
he'd be nuts to fight his retirement fight against adamek.

Sounds like Hopkins was using this whole thing as a publicity stunt, like years ago when he said he would go to Germany to fight Michalczewski. That offer was beyond insulting to a world champion who has been a good draw.

That's a horrible offer.

You can't make that kind of offer to a recognized world champ and #1 guy in the division. Even so, a 60-40 Adamek split is crazy as well. He'd be better off taking 50-50 or 55-45. I never seriously thought this fight would get put together. Hopkins should just retire already. I'd much rather see Adamek fight Cunningham again.

I wonder who Adamek will fight?

I'd like to see a unification with G. Jones, or a fight with Ramirez or Afolabi next.

Then perhaps a rematch with Cunningham in the fall.

I really like the Guerillmo Jones Adamek fight.

It would be hard for me to decide which guy to root for because I like them both and they are both good pros with above average power and never quit.
