Anyone who is unbiased recognises that they are both great trainers, two of the three most respected trainers in the world, currently.

De La Hoya fought very well indeed in that fight, until he ran out of gas in the late rounds. Floyd normally wins almost every round in his fights, but that fight was close, and DLH was leading at the half way point. For a fighter who was well past his prime, he put on an excellent performance. There was nothing wrong with his game plan, that was spot on.

I got to dis agree with that one hommie...DLH given credit for winning rounds pulled off what i saw as a decent split....slightly could of went to a UD... but the fight was close. Mayweather delt with a slifgtly different challenge and look good doing it....DLH stopped working and Mayweather made him pay for it. This is why Roach said DLH cant pull the trigger! Freddie is a great trainer and didnt lose that fight for DLH! It dont matter who Trains DLH he has a brain of his own. AND after the fight Floyd Sr said he thought DLH won that fight. Taken nothing away from either trainer. They both are A class trainers! Im a Trainer...and believe me...we can only train..we cant make someone listen and we cant fight for them...LOL

        Whats up ZAFF... What contradiction?

Hatton said i quote " Amir can give all help in the world but it wont make a differece!......"
"Amir wouldnt be pushing him back the ropes, pressuring him and throwing power punches to the body like i do"

Hence my statement that i agree with Ricky.
Amir was used in the Delahoya fight to mimic Oscar's jab which proved very helpful for Manny and Freddie during the previous fight.
I dont think Amir can contribute anything as significant(DElahoya fight) because ricky aint really known to have a fast jab, He bulldozes through an opponent and throws body shot. I hope you got it. I dont think Amir can contribute anything in camp in this particular(hatton) fight

        Thanks Samurai.

thats cool your a trainer....de la hoya was sharp early on.....and then about the 8th round just kinda went non-existent....and what was interesting is i think jerry roth was the only judge that gave the 12th to floyd...if he would have givin it to oscar its a draw...i actually lost a lot of money on this fight

No it's just your opinion that his punch resistance has gone, it's not fact. He was rocked because he got wild and stuck his chin out - but he still won that round on two of the three cards, because he recovered almost immediately - and won at least 10 out of 12 rounds in the opinion of almost everyone. He won't be wild under Floyd Snr. It's not completely impossible that his punch resistance has gone, but the evidence for your opinion on that is extremely weak, IMO.

That's a silly thing to say. The difference between us is that we have different opinions. I never buy any hype, and I go by what I see as well.

He had very poor tactics in the Mayweather and Lazcano fights and then changed trainers, and now has one of the best trainers in the game. He looked a lot better in his next fight and showed more skills than he had for a long time; albeit against a feather fisted puncher, but one who is a highly skilled boxer; and to claim with any certainty that he is shot is ridiculous.

I don't think anyone is the god of boxing, why do you have to pretend people are rating him far more highly than they actually are? You don't have to think he's the god of boxing to think he's got a chance against someone who has never been tested above 130lb.

then i see why you're pissed lol lol. I thought DLH was going to pull this off as the fight went on...and then all of a sudden....flat line___________________________________!!! What the fu(k!!! Yeah that pissed me off. I like to see under dogs win. Its hard for me to pull for ONE fighter as a favorite...I like a good fight. I respect fighters who glove up with the best. So for a fight like Pac-HAT..This ones a good one. Got respect for both. Although Hatton gets more disrespect....he can bam!

It was worse than that, because (a) he's not even ethnically Arabic, he's ethnically Pakistani, which is totally different, (b) he was born in Britain, as a British citizen, and (c) to claim that the only people who like him do so because of his ethnicity is a very racist claim, and is completely untrue. There are plenty of reasons for liking him - he's one of the most skilled prospects the country has produced in a long time, despite his flaws; he's had a huge amount of exposure on terrestrial television; and he has a pleasant personality and does a lot of charitable work. There was no need for J.B.moneY to bring race into the discussion at all, and it was wrong to do so.

just to point out i never said he was shot.. just that his punch resistance is going and that he not what he used to be. also the ref saved hatton in the lazcano fight by giving hatton a 50 second break to tie his shoe lace just after hatton took a big shot and was out on his feet..he really could of been taken out at that point if the ref didnt save him.

im off to bed, its been a long day.. peace
