HBO President says: FLOYD means more to boxing Than KOBE or LEBRON to the NBA !!

I wouldn't go as far as comparing Lebron and Kobe's absence from the NBA to Floyd's being away from Boxing. Floyd is a great fighter who's character has gotten him over since he was crowned the #1 fighter. Kobe and Lebron are staples in the NBA and are recognized as the top 2 players in the league (if not the world) not to mention their marketing, merchandising, endorsements, and ticket sales for both teams, etc. They're a huge part of American sports, period. I can't say the same for Floyd.
Also, Lebron and Kobe can both catch L's from teams like Boston or whoever and live to play another game and still be looked at as the best in the league. The second Floyd loses his "0", that aura of invincibility will disappear and chances are he'll be among the other "mortal" fighters. It ain't a diss whatsoever, but it is what it is.
Kobe & Lebron >>>>> Floyd easy...sorry...that's just a silly comparison IMO

Kobe & Lebron >>>>> Floyd easy...sorry...that's just a silly comparison IMO.

When Floyd retired for the 2nd time, it was just like "Ok...see you in a year". But it's expected, especially from fighters (who are notorious for retiring and returning).
Yes, Floyd returning adds much interest to who he may end up fighting or how much money it could bring to the sport, but he's no where near the level of guys like Lebron and Kobe who we see literally everyday in different forms and fashion of sports and entertainment alike, hence why I say the comparison is silly.

but I will say this though:
What Floyd brings to boxing is.
1. American Star
2. Lighting Rod ( you love him or you hate him)
3. Casual Fan know him
4. He is universally reconigize as the best in boxing still...
So when he comes back, in a sense it would be like MJ coming back to nba When he retired in 1993. Because he left the game too early and people knew he could accomplish wayyy more and he did,
