one could make the arguement that he proves alot more fighting welterweights because at the end of the day theres a whole lot more talent at 147 and 154 than there is at 160 and above .

id also like to point out that clottey comes in at 170 wich is more than williams comes in at rehydrated so really i dont see why people throw the " hes too big " card out there , so hes tall , so what. tyson was to small didnt stop his ass from becoming one of the most dominating fighters ever.

is cellestino callbaero to big also ? hes 5 11 and fights at 122

I will be more impressed if he cleans up the 154pd division than the ww's just because he will be fighting people more of his size. i would love to see him fight daniel santos or medina. but he better be ready for wright he may surprise him and his followers

He really needs to create a buzz and the only way he can do so is by beating a big name boxer. Like I said he will eventually fight at the MW and maybe SMW divisions so why not get alot of the big name guys on your resume before making the jump. Pavlik and alot of those MW and SMW guys are still young and have atleast 5-6 years in them. I would just hate for williams to move up and there be alot of What if's brought up in the future.

            IMO this year
            Winky

(dont face Kirkland yet let him create a huge following first)

            Jump down to WW
            Clotty
            Mosley
            Cotto
            Berto
            Mayweather

            Jump back to LMW
face Kirkland (by now he has create a huge buzz)

            Jump to MW
            face Kelly Pavlik
some other big names at MW and SMW

            Jump to Cruiserweight
            Face Chad Dawson
I understand your thinking but talking about cruiserweight? Guessing this is a wind up

As long as he fights the best who cares if he fights at 147 or at 154!!but theres more money against Cotto and Mosley at 147.Although Mosley has proven he can make an adjustment in weight classes specially at 154 wich it will be interesting!!!
