He should definitely fight 154 and up. Beating on guys much smaller than him doesn't exactly prove much.

He'd impress me more at 154-160 but if he can make 147, well then he can fight there...

I didnt know if you were a 6'2 SKELETON, you're just as big as middleweights.. because of your height...
He comes in weighing 165+ at middleweight. How does that make him a skeleton? Weighing 147 at 6'2 is damn near suicide.

If he can make 147 he should. Boxing divisions is based on weight. Not height. I think he should make 147 as long as he can to cement some decent legacy there before moving up. He has the frame to be a modern Tommy Hearns (but not the skills and charisma.... yet).

If you are 147 pounds you are 147 pounds... what dont you understand about that?

If a guy is 5' 7" and 147 pounds, whats that mean? it means hes going to have bigger and stronger legs, thicker torso and shoulders... hes going to be stronger.

Its not about how TALL you are larry... its about putting your gameplan into motion BETTER then the other GUY...

If Williams plan is stick to the outside... then Cottos plan should be to get on the inside.

and WILLIAMS DOESNT even USE HIS HEIGHT... and he fights on the inside half the time.

WHY NOBODY BRINGS THAT UP.. is beyond me.

Paul hits like a girl compared to Hearns. Hearns wudda killed Sharmba and wudda beat da **** outta Quintana both times.

So do you think he proves more fighting at 147, or does he prove the same regardless of what weight division he's fighting in?

I actually noticed that, wasn't sure if it was because he couldn't use his reach, or if he was proving a point.

If you make the weight, and fight the best in the division... then you prove yourself... period.

When people talk about Tommy Hearns being good, I rarely see "he was too tall" for his division...

Its BULL****... if you make 147, you make 147... all being 6'2 does... is stretch the weight out more thinly...

You think Paul Williams has stronger legs than Cotto or Mosley? NO.

Tommy Hearns kept going up in weight, as Williams should. To me, beating Mosley, Cotto, and Clottey for him is not as impressive as Pavlik, Abraham, and Taylor or whoever. What is more impressive to you?
