He might have lost in full fighting condition - but the fact is, he wasn't and he lost badly because of it, NOT because of Pacquiao.
its reasonable to say that the weight affected dlh's performance

its ****** to say pacquiao has nothing to do with it. its not as if pac was some bum before they fought. he was already p4p #1.

All I'm saying is that the OP is saying it was ALL Pac, and ODLH was not weight drained or affected by dehyrdation. Which is clearly not the case.

It wasnt all pac i agree, he was affected by wrong strategy weight loss weeks prior to fight which isnt exactly weight drained imo.
but i can see your point and agree with some of it.

Not saying it was nothing to do with Pac, but the manner in which he lost is definitely not because of Pac. It would have been a much different fight had both fighters been in top condition. Not saying Pac would have lost, but it would not have been the one sided beat down that it was.

that's a very reasonable post. but i believe that "pac" is really the reason why "pac beat DLH"......

I don't mean to downplay the significance of pac's win over dlh, but if anyone can tell me that the version of oscar that pac whipped is even remotely comparable to the versions of oscar that fought floyd or mayorga at 154 then they are full of ****.

Aint no double standard, its an observation.

You honestly gonna say that DLH looked the same in both fights? He didnt look a bit drained in the Pac fight?

This is what I said in a similar thread a couple months ago. I think it still stands true on the Subject:

Oscar looked horrible against Forbes. When I saw that fight i said he should not fight Mayweather again, and should go after a slower target. When the Mayweather thing fell through and he signed to fight Pac I thought the size would be enough to make up for the speed. Then the weigh in happened. Nobody should take anything away from Pac because he has nothing to do with how Oscar comes to fight. That said the Pacamaniacs should not try to make it seem like this was the version of Oscar we have been used to seeing. Pac is great. Hell he would be great even if he lost. So there is no need to exaggerate the situation.

DLH does struggle against speed and southpaws, but you also have to factor in that dlh hasn't fought at WW for a decade.
