Oscar wasn't shot or weight drained against Pacquiao.

Nacho is old-school. He didn't come up in this sport with a Pilates coach, a stretch coach, a pinky-limbering coach, a protein-shake-mixing guy, etc.
not every fighter, not every trainer and not every scenario is the same.

Nacho does indeed work on his OWN fighter's conditioning etc

however, if your biggest payday to date is telling you "hey I am going to use my normal nutrionist and I want you to run the boxing portion of my training" are you going to tell him no?

and as evidenced by all the visits there was no head coach like you put it. Like I said Nacho was brought in to create a strategy and work on the boxing aspect and even then he had others like Hopkins and Dundee barking orders to Oscar as well.

the camp was a fiasco. HBO cameramen were saying as much. Valero told a bunch of us it was a farce with no one running the camp and he was left on his own a large portion of the time there

I just don't see Manny beating the same guy Floyd fought.

Oscar was trying to take Floyd's head off.

Old and moving DOWN in weight...that's a double whammy.

I can't think of too many fighters that wouldn't have whipped Oscar that night.

Imagine if that were Hatton instead of Manny..

              Oscar would have been counted-out.

How do you know Hatton would KO Oscar. Pac was fast and elusive for Oscar, Hatton is not.

He wasn't the same Oscar, there was something wrong... whether it was weight drained or shot, or both... however De La Hoya hadn't fought at that weight for many years.

Don't get me wrong I take nothing away from Pacquiao and am not making excuses, it was a great victory for him... but it just wasn't the same Oscar.

You can't deny it was different a OSCAR.

Oscar was a Champion at a comfortable weight when Floyd fought him.

He added 15lbs and came in heavier than Mayweather.

Contrast that to his preperation..or lack thereof..for Pacman.

Oscar only gained back a pound and had a JOKE of a training camp.

Mayweather had a lot more to deal with than Paquiou.
