Going down to 147 after not fighting there for so many years and plus doing it while being 36 years old.

I'd go with the Pacquiao fight.

The "Hollywood" image helped his popularity and box office value, so obviously that increased his ability to get big fights (and demand the bulk of the purse in them), so I don't see that as a real mistake other than causing some people to dislike him.

I'm not sure about the Trinidad thing. While people have said his corner told him to stay away, all I've heard when watching the instructions between the latter rounds was "box, box, box". And Alcazar told him "make sure they know you won the round". So while you can fault Oscar for that, he has admitted on more than one occasion to being fatigued. Against a puncher like Tito, maybe playing it safe was the right thing to do.

In regards to the Chavez fights, it was the 2nd one that deserves the criticism. That was a bull**** rematch and just a cheap way to make big bucks during the Mexican holiday by selling it as "Oscar wants respect" because of the first fight. DLH shouldn't have gotten criticism for the first fight. Yeah, Chavez was past his prime, but he still had a belt, and it was a "passing of the torch" type bout. It was a given that they would fight.

I think Beating JCC was the biggest/vital one.Its like a domino effect if he hadnt done that he would probably gotten the acceptance or whatever he craved for, trying to finish tito rather than run to prove his being a warrior, then he wouldnt have avoided Margarito, thus "Dreamfight" never happens. speculations i admit.
