Boooo! How can anyone vote the Trinidad fight over Pac?!!

Pac fight was supposed to be the biggest mismatch in the history of the universe, except it turned out the other way round! Losing a couple of rounds against Trinidad doesn't even come close to this ****!

I think it's rather silly that people hold a grudge towards a fighter for beating their favorite fighter. It would be one thing if DLH taunted an old Chavez and disrespected him in the ring and outside of it afterwards, but he didn't. He just took care of business. I can see people not liking DLH for taking the pointless rematch (with Whitaker never getting a rematch and much better matchups out there), but the backlash was already there before that occurred.

I suppose in retrospect maybe DLH and Arum should've known that beating a beloved fighters like Chavez would make DLH disliked among Mexican boxing fans (Holmes wasn't too popular in America after Ali, Charles after Louis as well, etc...). But the fight was just a given to happen. DLH, the up and coming star, moving up from 135. Chavez has a title at 140. Chavez was immensely more of a draw than Randall and Tszyu, and also less difficult as well.

I agree.I really dont know if it was Oscar or JCC fault, but we all know who the Mexicans supported.I just think this whole situation really F-cked up Oscar mentally bigtime hence some of his mistakes.Remember "dream match" subplot was Oscar getting revenge for the fallen mexican greats, call it purely promotional or marketing but if JCC didnt happen Oscar would be better off. Just my opinion ofcourse.

                    the chavez rematch

                    the track meet against tito

                    the gift against sturm

the 'pain' from Nard's body shot

the unceremonious outing of GBP's FIRST major star: Barrera

the failure as a promoter in securing an immediate 3rd match for JMM against PAC

....only to fight PAC himself, to avoid Margarito, only to QUIT

the excuses that flowed 3 MONTHS after he QUIT against a midget

i could go on but really, this list is killing my high

the holy wood image.. imo his career would of had a lot less L's on it if he would have stuck to boxing and kept his motivation for it.
