Not hating on Floyd but I really think Marquez beats him

No disrespect from me either bro.Don't imply that I am biased, far from it.
I haven't claimed that he is a god who can win this and that fantasy fight, so stop there.
That is your opinion, if you don't want him to fight Marquez as a tune-up then that's fine and your opinion, others are different so you shouldn't try to put others down because they don't think the same as you.
I believe in double standards, I just don't see the big deal in his fighting Marquez as a tune-up... if he then fights bigger fighters then you shouldn't really complain. Also, no after being inactive for 18 months you are not going to be fully sharp just from training, even after the hard work Mayweather puts in... that is why it will take a tune-up fight.
No disrespect anyway mate, we all have our different opinions.Comment

If he fights Marquez its a strategy fight to make more money. When he beats Marquez, that will make the fight with Pacquiao more of a mega event, two guys who both beat Marquez, so its really just to build the Pacquaio fight and nothing else, well besides making money at the same time.Comment

like b-hop, tito, p-williams,
the list goes on and on
that weight excuse has got to go. If a fighter can make the weight then he should be able to fight in that weight class.
Nobody is forcing Marquez to fight that heavy it's his decision, so if he looses that's his problem. But if Floyd looks bad then more credit JMM, for taking on a fighter naturally bigger.Comment

Chic mate, just a quick question no arguments just for my own piece of mind. Nobody else needs to be involved in this;
Would you consider yourself happy if Floyd fought Marquez in a tune-up, and then fought some bigger welterweights such as Cotto, Mosley and Pacquiao (for P4P circumstances)?Comment

Nope, I don't want him near Marquez period. Like I said, he could fight a bum for all I care at WW then fight a Cotto or Mosley after. Do you honestly think Marquez has a chance at a higher weight than 140?? I don't think so at all. No matter how good he is at 135. Especially against a great fighter in Mayweather.
Green K sent too btw.Last edited by Mr. Fantastic; 03-20-2009, 04:42 PM.Comment
