Not hating on Floyd but I really think Marquez beats him

Not as a tune-up/skill sharpen fight? Do you honestly expect him to get in the ring with Cotto, Mosley, etc. after 18 months of being inactive?Floyd against:
Mosley .. bigger draw and and big welter
Cotto.. bigger draw and real welter
Pacquiao.. has proven he can crack at 147 (though with an old DLH) and bigger draw
Hatton (if winner against pac) bigger draw and has bigger frame
Marquez... ? no bigger draw and has proven nothing on higher weights
Floyd asking for tons of $ and Marquez is the smallest draw of all fighters mentioned above... what is the sense of fighting Marquez then? because he is top 2 P4P? How about fighting Vasquez because he is top p4p also?...
There is no reason for him to fight Marquez... not at all...Comment

If he wants to do that then do it against a Collazo or Berto type fighter. Someone who he can easily beat but being in the same weight class. Dude, like I said, wouldn't give a **** even if he fought a 100th ranked WW as a tune up either.I disagree with you saying it is a ***** move if it was his first fight out of retirement, considered as a tune-up fight to get rid of ring rust and sharpen his skills. If he then fought some welterweights as I already stated would you consider yourself happy? I would.
That ring rust is no excuse to fight a smaller guy, whether you like it or not. Isn't training meant to sharpen your skills?? Don't all you Mayweather fans claim him as a god and can beat everyone in Fantasy fights?
Gotta love the double standards with some boxing fans.Last edited by Mr. Fantastic; 03-20-2009, 04:03 PM.Comment

They are basically the same size, I dont recall you taking up for Floyd when he was fighting at lightweight and Castillo and Corrales came in as welterweights. If he wants to do that then do it against a Collazo or Berto type fighter. Someone who he can easily beat but being in the same weight class. Dude, like I said, wouldn't give a **** even if he fought a 100th ranked WW as a tune up either.
