because he just got Hammered by Margarito who got excuted by Mosley. would you rather see Mayweather fight Mosley or Cotto. I would say Mosley because Cotto has fought Gomez and Jennings 2 of his last 3 fights. thats not good at all. if he beats Clottey he might have a shot at the fight, but thats a big IF!!

**** Mayweather. I'd love to see him fight again but he is out pricing himself and being a greedy ****head. Nobody wants to pay 50 bucks to see him come back and fight a tuneup and he's too much of a ***** to make a real fight after the layoff......hell he was too much of a ***** to fight the top WW when he retired...let alone after 16 months of inactivity. I hope he gets KOed by an avg fighter in a tune up.

its already been mention and like what everyone has been saying schafer works for golden boy not Top ranks so its safe to say he mentioned every fighter under the golden boy ranks...

cotto really needs to go it alone after is contract expire this time again..

i wonder if Arum knows Cotto is gonna leave him so he's trying to screw him by not looking to make this fight happen. Cotto vs Mayweather is probably the fight i want to see most even more than floyd vs pac even though i think pac would beat him. Cotto-Mayweather is the most interesting to me because i want to see him face a true prime top welterweight!

What makes you think that the moment his trainer goes he'll immediately forget everything he learnt under him? Of course he wouldn't fight the way he did against Floyd again, not using his jab, rushing in face first - he's learnt his lessons and isn't as much of an idiot as you seem to think.

As for Cortez, you're being biased. I've never seen a referee so quick to prevent any inside fighting at all as Cortez was that night, and as Chase has pointed out, Mayweather fouled a lot with his elbows and Cortez turned a blind eye. Hatton would have lost anyway, but that isn't my point.

Why does everyone has to be biased because we dont agree with your post? This is only his 2nd training camp w/Mayweather. Its just natural to resort to what u know best and that would be what he was taught by Graham.

The argument that he's not a natural Welter would be far more valid if he didn't fight at Welter. He fought Hatton at 147, not 140. Will he fight Pac or Marquez at 140? We'll see. But if not, then your argument doesn't work.

Plus he wants to be thought of as a great Welter, that's why he won the lineal crown; and to be thought of as a great Welter, he needs to beat a top Welter convincingly. Cotto, Mosley and Williams are all better than any of the Welters he has beaten.

Why Williams? Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley have not showed any interest in fighting Paul Williams so why would Floyd need to cap off his career with Williams who is fighting at Middle Weight now? Wouldn't that mean that Cotto/Mosley can't be considered great? Floyd was the Lineal Champ at 147 regardless of the fact that it wasn't Cotto/Mosley or Williams he fought so in actuality Cotto & Mosley would need to become the Lineal Champ to be considered over Floyd who has done it & they haven't.

Zab was Champ at 147 and Baldomir beat Zab to become the Recognize Champ at 147 & Floyd beat them both. People are not seeing it like that because if they were then they would be able to see that Floyd has accomplished more at 147 then Cotto/Mosley/Williams. If anything you guys should be saying that Floyd should fight the other Welters because WE want to see him fight more to seal his legacy as an ATG because that sounds more logical.
