He has to beat Shane in order to become the man. It is just like Paul Williams, everyone called Margarito the man at WW but deep down inside, we all knew Margarito vs Paul Williams II needed to happen

Will Mayweather ever considered fighting Miguel Cotto, if Pacman losses to Hatton, Cotto-Mayweather for the WBO 147lbs title will be biggest match up that can be made for 2009, who cares about seeing Mayweather-Marquez or Mayweather-Hatton II, Pretty Boy already beat the hitman, as for Mosley, sugar is 38 years old and has been beaten by Cotto.

He's already beaten Shane. This is another problem I have with Floyd and his fans...they think other fighters should jump thru hoops to be worthy of a fight with him. I just think the best should fight as many top fighters as the can. That applies to all great fighters, not just Floyd.

I'm sure Mayweather is tired of being hit with alot of negative ****, I'm sure it'll be Cotto vs Shane II winner. Still, I wouldn't count on it

Benefit of the doubt just means being open minded, it doesn't mean giving him credit for something he hasn't done yet, it just means accepting that it is possible that he might do it.

I know it's a tradition for Cotto to fight in MSG during the Pr parade, but he should have fought Mosley in Vegas. If he beat Mosley in June that would have made Cotto vs Floyd a more attractive matchup.
