His retirement act annoyed me. He was ducking Hagler for years. He waited until he perceived Hagler was on the wrong side of his prime to fight him. That being said, Hagler had to big of a hole to fill, to catch up to srl. 115-113 srlComment

He did wait until Hagler was on the wrong side of his prime, but I never understood why he took so much stick for not fighting him sooner. He was a WW after all not a MW. He fought Duran, Benitez and Hearns at 147 so you can't really complain that he didn't face Hagler sooner.Comment

The judges were on some **** in the Duran fight. The scores shouldn't have been that close, Hagler won clearly.
Hagler was first and foremost a boxer, but you'd think facing smaller guys like Duran and Leonard, that he'd apply more pressure and use his size and strength more. Obviously he had the ability to use that sort of game plan as well.Comment

Haha fair enough. I like all three of them, with Hagler and Leonard being my two favourite fighters of all time surprisingly!
Speaking of Duran, I've started reading his biography 'Manos de Piedra'. Good read!Comment
