I had Hagler winning,if u take away the crowed cheering,Hagler was landing the effective punches,Sugar was boxing great,but he kept throwing fancy shots to hype up the crowed,to make it look like hes out hustling Hagler,when there was 30 seconds left in the round,Sugar would throw combos to end it,but before that 30 seconds it was Hagler dominating

I had Hagler winning by 2 rounds i think

Leonard won, and at the time of the orignial bout, almost everyone thought he won too. It is funny how years go by and just to have a debate with quality names involved this has turned into what it is.

It was close and I can see a hgler fan thinking it was a draw...but hagler did not win this fight, he gave away the 1st 4 rounds. All ray had to do was win the last 3 rounds, and that is what he did. Was I impressed by Ray that night,hmmmmmm not so much the skill level shown as he was slow in comparison to the old ray, he had no stamina in comparison to the old ray, however he had enough to beat Hagler especially since hagler started off orthodox and didnt apply pressure immediatley.

I think had Hagler applied pressure immediatley he would have worn down Ray, as Ray barely finished the fight as it was. However a peak Ray one that has his legs like he did vs duran in the classic 15 round brawl, and skills speed etc, and does not go toe to toe, easily beats hagler, He has the style to beat hagler, plain and simple.

Winning the last 10 seconds of the round doesn't change the fact you spend the previous more than 2 minutes backpeddling away from your opponent who was out throwing and out landing you.

That's exactly what he was doing. Stealing the rounds at the end because all of the fans were up his ass.
