Hopkins has a great chance of an "upset" here, Adamek is a good european fighter is a bit like the Klitschko brothers is being robotic. Maybe a good idea to come in at 185-190pounds so he can still move well, because Adamek can trade twelve rounds long. Obviously he wil need to study the Dawson vs Adamek tape. The idea of Adamek vs Golota is a silly idea!

Insider Notebook: Hopkins vs. Adamek - High Risk

Hopkins takes this one by UD. Adamek is proving that he has what it takes to be a solid champion, but he is there to be hit by a solid counterpuncher as Steve Cunningham proved in their exciting fight not too long ago. Hopkins should retire after this one, regardless of a victory or a loss. One of the best fighters in the past 25 years without question.

At age 44, he has every right to fight anyone he likes, he doesn't owe anyone anything, least of all internet critics like you.

Hopkins is not the #1 light-heavyweight
Hopkins should not be ranked #1 light-heavyweight nor should he be ranked #1 pound for pound fighter. As long as he's too scared (and rightly so) to fight Dawson at light-heavyweight, to the point were he'd rather jump up a weight class to face the purely offensive fighter, Adamek (who never clinches), Dawson should be ranked at the #1 light-heavyweight. Dawson would destroy Hopkins. Hopkins, the second most boring fighter today (Klitschko brothers tied for 1st), is purely a defensive fighter, who does nothing but clinch. Hopkins is also a dirty fighter.

Further, hopkins has stated numerous times at this stage of his career, the only way he can keep on fighting are fights that motivate him. Going up in weight (yet again) at his advanced age is quite an accomplishment if he were able to pull it off against Adamek. Think about, at age 40 and after losing to Taylor his fights are always tough fights no one things he can win (Tarver, Winky, Calzaghe, Pavlik, now Adamek). How does Dawson motivate hopkins?? Hopkins just beat a young 26 year old. Been there done that.

Hopkins doesn't get destroyed, it's not possible. He could lose, in very close fights, but he doesn't get destroyed, ever.

LOL @ Destroy.
Hilarious first post, thanks for the laughs.Last edited by ИATAS; 03-21-2009, 04:50 PM.
