Hopkins looks like a freakin' creepy, dirty psycho in that picture of him in the article. He's such an ugly bastard, but, I would really, really love to see this fight. Hopkins is great...........but really ugly.

But, Secondsout is right. Anyone thinking Adamek wins this are out of their damn minds. This will be an easy decision for Hopkins. The fact is that he won't get hit flush, if at all. Adamek telegraphs his shots too much, even more than Pavlik. He has slow feet (he does not have the feet to be fleet-footed) and is simply made to order. I also have this a UD. Good achievement after moving up again, but it is not really a challenge for him. He knows he will beat him. Dawson would be a challenge and he has already dominated Adamek.

That would make Hopkins a real ATG, as in top twenty-forty type stuff.

          totally agree with this.

does fighting guys who are stylistically made for you make you an ATG?

anyways im gonna buck the trend and go for aamek i think he has a great chin and will walk through whatever hopkins throws at him. adamek is a smart fighter, if he can take awat hopkins right hand with a solid jab and good movement then he has this fight in the bag.

hopkins imo took this fight because he feels he can slow the pace down, make it dirty and land the counter right hand (a punch that hopkins throws v.well and a punch that adamek is always open for, see banks and cunningham fights). i think he'll be looking to nick the rounds with that punch.

if adamek can stay away from it then they have this fight in the bag.

This is actually very, very true. Any time the Calzonie loss gets talked about it is with the constant talk of Hopkins' age as a big factor. "Calzsonie beat an old man who didn't have any stamina!" etc etc etc. Of course in his next fight he had stamina to burn as he fought off a much younger, more prime champion than Calzonie and did it by punching a lot and consistently beating Pavlik with combination's and very good stamina throughout the entire twelve rounds.

When the Pavlik fight gets talked about he won due to his amazing skill, ring generalship and the ability to beat a guy that stands in front of him and throws punches. Why didn't he beat Calzonie then? Because he was old of course and didn't have the stamina.

Even though Pavlik has possibly more stamina or easily as much as Calzonie and also punches a lot harder.

Hopkins wont be able to keep Adamek off him. Adamek will walk through Hopkins punches with ease.
Adamek didn't bully Cunningham. Adamek didn't walk through Dawson. Go watch the fights. He kept moving forward but he didn't bully him or walk through him and Cunningham is not as strong a puncher as Hopkins. Dawson also had no trouble with Adamek walking through him and he is also not a big puncher at all. Neither of those guys punch as hard as B-Hop.

It is not about whether Adamek can walk through Hopkins because that is not how he fights. He puts pressure on but he does not walk through opponents.

Anyway, look at Tarver. Tarver had a bigger punch than Hopkins, he is bigger than both Hopkins and Adamek, he is faster than Adamek, more skilled than Adamek etc etc. That is not the issue. Just being younger and a big puncher with a strong chin means nothing against Hopkins. You cannot fight him like that and expect to win. You need to fight him with speed. Amazing speed and boxing. Hopkins is basically an inside fighter with incredible skills. You've got to beat him on the outside, not by bombing away or trying to brawl him or out-muscle him. No one has ever beaten him doing that and he has fought much better fighters than Adamek that fight that way.

Hopkins is gonna cruise to a UD win.

                3rd division title.

Did you people not watch Adamek against Dawson? I love Adamek but he got boxed to death at LHW in his only fight against an elite. This is not the tough match for Hopkins. That would be Dawson.

I don't know if I like all this talk about how Hopkins is easily going to win. He needs more critics!

Honestly, I think he might actually come in the betting favorite, something like +150. Even at that I might throw down some money.

i think Adamek is a much better boxer than pavlick and certainly more powerful, i dont think its gona be the walk in the park for Hopkins that it was against Pav it could go either way and i dont think Hopkins age comes into it thats been proved now that it was just Calzaghe was far too fast and smarter than him, this will be intresting fight i cant predict an outcome but i think Hopkins is gona be hard to catch full on and Hops is gona counter this kid, thst said Adamek has more than enough power o KO hops if he can catch him flush
