So how can they say that Cotto is over Mayweather, if they are both not even on the p4p list.
Cotto is active and has not been able to get in the p4p list yet.
Mayweather is not since he quit boxing.

Mosley vs Mayweather is what fans need to be demanding, not JMM(who is a great fighter, but I believe Mayweather would soundly defeat due to style problems).

As far as handspeed.. Shane is the only person who can even **** with Floyd. But Shane boxes with his hands down and this would be terrible because he has absolutely NO headmovement or agility. Believe it or not.. Shane can actually look kind of stiff sometimes.. HE is fast as hell but he just isn't agile and he has always taken unnecessary shots. If Shane had a good defense he could actually give Floyd a run for his money... But he doesn't. Manny is quick too... but he isn't as fast or as strong as Floyd (not saying Floyd has a monster punch). But Pac's punch has been excessively over-rated.. Some people forget he had all that power at LIGHTWEIGHT. If they both fought at lightweight i think Pac has more power in that particular weightclass than Floyd. And Cotto... not much to say. He's a good boxer but not a great one... His brawling tendencies make him vulnerable in a fight with such a technically sound and perfectionist boxer.

I think everybody agrees that Floyd is about money. To me, it's seems difficult to imagine that Floyd won't fight Pacquiao because in terms of overall popularity that seems like the biggest fight to hardcore and casual fans.
We keep talking about Floyd should fight the winner of Hatton/Pac because that's the way boxing is supposed to work and we want a clear battle between p4p #1's. But even if Hatton beat Pac (which I doubt), wouldn't the re-match with Hatton not be as enticing considering what happened already when they fought? Or does England really believe that Hatton can win the second time around and the fight goes through thanks to their financial support.
These days, mega-fights really don't have to adhere to win-loss records / rankings. If they did, The Dream Match would have never happened. PPVs are often popularity contests.
Even if Manny was coming off a loss, wouldn't that be an angle that would suffice fans? "Is Manny falling off?" "Can he comeback?" Etc.
I'm not even trying to hate on Hatton. I'm just saying it's not that hard to imagine people not ponying up as much money to see the Floyd Hatton rematch (unless Hatton totally domintes Pac) whereas Floyd fighting Pac, I think the desire is there to see it that even the people who never buy PPV might do it this one time (and not risk a stream cutting off half-way).
