Not really. If Paul Williams could learn to use his height/reach more, he would be extremely difficult to beat at 147. Floyd doesn't throw enough at welter against a volume puncher such as Paul. Although this does depend on Paul learning to use his height/reach effectively, something he hasn't figured out yet.
Who would BEAT Floyd Mayweather?

Willliams lost to a severly limited fighter in Quintana. Floyd will box rings around him.
Its not even a joke.Comment

I agree, but it's sad. I mean... a 6'3" fighter should be able to beat Mayweather. But Paul Williams sucks (relatively speaking).Comment

Paul Williams might be a style (and size) nightmare for Floyd.
Williams throws 100+ punches per round, has a ridiculous wingspan, stands about half a foot taller than Floyd, is a southpaw (whom Mayweather has been more aggressive, and therefore, hittable against).
Williams's defense is leaky, but more so against lefties (even midget Mitchell hit him with good shots), so that I think played a role in the loss to Qunitana.
And of course, there's the fact that Mayweather is a small-ish welter and Williams is a huge welterweight who'd have about 15 pounds on him on the night of the fight.
It's no easy fight for PBF.Comment
