Believe me G, it's because of the tangled feet. We've had this discussion on here a few times before. It's easy to mistake it for a punch that sends him reeling backwards, I understand that, but try to watch it in higher quality and preferably slow motion, it's plain to see.

OK, I'll check it in higher definition but these Commentators in this video and the HBO commentators when I watched the fight never stated that their feet got tangled, it just looked like Mayweather was in trouble. But again will keep watching it.

Samurai, brother your reasoning is a good breakdown of why. It seems as if you are a PAC supporter. I don't even like Hatton but i think PAC won't be able to take Hatton's preasure. Anyway i don't think you understand my sense of humour! Nor did you the other day? Regardless, I don't really care for your comments due to the fact you seem stuborn and play down what people have to say. Anyway thanx for not say "F***ing **** post". I look forward to your next copy&paste that you seem famous for.

Yes, I am a Pacquiao fan.

I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that I am stubborn? On the contrary, I think I'm fairly open-minded. You appear to have misunderstood me.

What is this "copy & paste" thing?

And yeah, I'm sorry man but that post where you talked about Pakistani's came across as racist. That's why I said "f***ing **** post".

It did look like he got hit with a good punch and reeled backwards, I thought the same when I watched the fight live, but studying the video afterward revealed the tangle. As I said, I understand why you thought it was caused by a punch.

Yeah, man! I think Hatton just thought what every fighter always think going up against Floyd & that's to pressure him but they forget that if you come in trying to pressure a counter puncher like Floyd without a jab, your going to pay. Ricky payed the same way Corrales did. To Hatton's credit he did look way better against Malignaggi than he did against Floyd. He moved his head more & worked his way in with the jab & wasn't holding at all, in fact Malignaggi did all the holding. People are forgetting that if Pacquiao can improve so can Hatton & that's why he got Floyd Sr on his team. The father of the only man to beat him will teach him & help strengthen his flaws. This fight I feel will be fight of the year hands down.

If you're talking about Hatton/PBF for the first 4-5 rounds Ricky was snapping Floyd's head back when he threw his left jab?

I think you're right G, it should be an awesome fight. I'm pumped for this one more than any other fight coming up this year.

Hatton definitely shows more patience now. That's the biggest improvement I can see. The performance against Paulie was very good.

I apologise for the Khan/Pakistani comment, as you can understand i am a Barerra supporter and believe Khan and Team Roach is overrated. But hey i may well be very wrong. I just think that Roach gave the wrong advice to Roman Karmazin on that Mosley v Cotto undercard? And ever since then i have been a Roach "hater". Don't get me wrong, PAC is a great fighter with some balls. I have been watching PAC fights at my Filo mates house and told em that PAC will KO Diaz, and DLH. Do you really believe that PAC should be installed as the "heavy" favourite against Hatton? And do you think that PAC would stand a chance against Floyd? The only reason that i ask those last two Q's is that i think PAC's defense in suss!! Great footwork, but you can only hide behind your offense for so long.

You nailed it on the head. Pacquiao can move and work the ring fighting in and out but he has next to know defense and it will take more than his speed to keep Hatton off of him. We really don't know how hard his punches are at 140. Yeah, he beat down Diaz but it took 9rds of accumulative punching to put him down & Oscar never fought back, still Pacqiuao couldn't put him down. Hatton is used to engaging & brawling and if Manny can't knock Hatton down or out he is in for one hell of a night because Hatton can drop guys.
