and Mayweather never fought past 30 either. prime Chavez never quit now, did he?
it amazes me how someone can go through a career of wars, and be called a coward because he threw in the towel once despite being past prime and having over 100 fights.
    just amazing.
The second fight was more like 10-2. It just like Pernell saying he will lose to Oscar because of bull**** judges.

So what JCC fought past 30, does it change the fact he quit.

100 fights. How many of those 100 fights were BUMS and nobodies.

Should we feel sorry for a quitter because he engaged in a war? Laughable

Its not like Chavez didn't struggle with boxer/movers. Had Taylor stuck to his game plan, he could have beaten Chavez without that much of a problem. I like Floyd by tough decision. I think he would win by pot shoting Chavez on the back foot and he definitely had enough power( at that weight) to keep him honest. Taylor was not a hard puncher.
NO, Chavez did not struggle with boxers/movers. this is a common misconception. he had a hard time with volume punchers. He ate up people that ran from him, but yet would fall behind on points against Sammy Fuentes, just because of Fuentes' workrate. Meldrick Taylor did not have success via just boxing, the guy was throwing 80+ punches a round in combinations...in other words, probebly the worst ever style matchup for Chavez.

and where do you guys get this idea that the 2nd fight was a cakewalk for Floyd? it was a clear win this time, yea, but it was still a real close fight in terms of rounds.

and yall need to stop going on about the weight difference. Chavez would have bulled Mayweather with or without a weight advantage, it was one of his specialties, and he would have worked more effectively than Castillo on the inside too reagrdless of the weight.
