What pissed off everyone including the people cheering for Chavez the most that the fight wasn't close yet it was scored a draw when it should have been clearly given to Whitaker.

Seriously though how did you score that fight?
I had it 116-113, and Ive seen more than a few people score it 115-112. probebly the most popular score was 116-112. Whitaker won a few of his rounds big, which is why people like to exaggerate his dominance in the fight, despite the fact that in a round by round basis Chavez was still in the fight.

also, people seem to forget that the Chavez were talking about, the one that fought at Lightweight, was 6 years younger than the one in the Whitaker fight.

Second, there is no way that Mayweather has enough power to even tickle Chavez. apart from the fact that Chavez wouldnt get hit by everything Mayweather threw, Chavez has laughed off some huge punches like they were nothing.
Whitaker did NOT only box, he did a variety of things in there, and Mayweather does not have a stiff enough jab to keep Chavez off of him nor does he have the southpaw stance.
and for the bolded part...what other great boxer has Mayweather faced that showed he could cope with the kind of pressure that Chavez would bring? oh right, Castillo. the lesser version of Chavez.

speaking of which, Id like to know what Castillo did better than Chavez. Lets face it, he IS downgraded Chavez, although thats not an insult to him. I really cant see anything that Castillo did better than Chavez.

Are you blind or dumb? Mayweather jab at the lower weight was one of the best jabs ever. He throws a jab and changes into a hook within a second. Mayweather is also the better inside fighter than Pernell and is stronger and faster than Pernell. Power wouldn’t matter since Mayweather would not go for a KO. Just Pernell his ass

no **** genius, Floyd didn't even turn pro when JCC was fighting, unless ofcourse you want him to take the Calzaghe route and be labeled a legend killer while fighting JCC when hes in his fifties

Well why are you using examples of Mayweather at 147. Pot shotting and so on. Prime Mayweather was at 130 to 140.

            ha, ok.

are you blind? Mayweather used his jab sparringly against Castillo, and couldnt keep Castillo off of him with it. what makes you think it would work against Chavez?

Because THATS WHAT HE DID AGAINST CASTILLO TO WIN. Castillo is like a carbon copy of Chavez, except downgraded! thats how Mayweather would have to fight him.

floyd's legacy STATES that NONE of these fights would have happened

                true story

but were talking about 135 dumbass. slick southpaw was statin once floyd went to 147 he was only interested in money but at 130/135 he fought corrales, castillo, chavez, genaro hernandez. he is rated more for what he did in the lower weights and were talkin abt a chavez vs mayweather fight at 135 where mayweather fought the best.

Maybe because Castillo is bigger than JCC. Also hard to jab when you have cracked ribs and torn shoulder muscles

Thats where your wrong, at 135 Floyd would be lucky not to get knocked out, roberto duran is the best 135lber ever, period, not chavez, not mayweather, nobody was beating him at that weight.
