The best scenario is Cotto fights and beats both Clottey and Mosley with Floyd taking the winner of Pac / Hatton and them two fight May 2010 (be it Floyd wins).

...but we've been down this block already, haven't we?

I think we can all agree then that it's fine for him to take on Marquez. There is no need to say Floyd is a disgrace because he will eventually have to fight a top welter or else he'll catch some ****.

Cotto does not have the skills to compete.
          Floyd would whip that boy.

Floyd coming off a 2 year layoff makes this a pickem fight

Who would be the favourite? Floyd is usually always favourite due to his superior skillset but could this be a rare occasion ( Say if Cotto dominates Clottey or something )

The Vegas betting odds would favor Floyd (maybe 3-1), Ill take Cotto's odds. Now this is obviously in the sense that Floyd jumps right into a Cotto fight. With a tune-up fight for Floyd and then a fight with Cotto, it's still a tough fight for both, but I'd see where Floyd would be heavily favored (I'd hope Floyd would be the favorite though...betting wise)

floyd good enough that he could beat cotto with no tune up, but if he lost people would definitely say that he was rusty from the layoff and take credit away from cotto.

LOL I'd actually like to see what the excuses would be, though many of them would def be ring rust.

I can only imagine what good ol' Horus' explanation would be LOL

I'd pick Cotto to win. The worst thing for a fighter is inactivity. Cotto can take a lot of hammer -- look at the Margarito fight. Personally I think that fight toughened Cotto up. I think he pretty much walks through what Floyd can dish out, but only if he can stop him "running" and slithering about.
