It's a shame really, that kinda stuff makes us brits look just like the asses who really think this was a monumental achievement for Khan.

I guess there's a difference between a british fan, and a British boxing fan.
2 be honest,i know more about boxing than you.but carry on sticking up for your boys it makes me laugh.i have said so many times the fight SHOULD have been a no contest.it was a very unfortunate cut as i was looking forward 2 a great fight, but the fact is it wasnt stopped until the 5th round wrong or not khan gets the win.when did i say it was a monumental achievement? u guna keep trying 2 put words into my mouth...............?

      I didn't say that actually.

      What I said was:
"that kinda stuff makes us brits look just LIKE the asses who really think this was a monumental achievement for Khan."

I was comparing you reading a very accurate article that you aparrently happen to agree with on many things now (lol?) and typing nothing more than "get over it" as if to say the article didn't have a valid point, to people who are also saying "get over it", because they think Khan really pulled off something big, because what you said was quite lame.

Basically, you're validating what the article is saying, but at the same time you're dismissing it, even if it's true by saying "get over it", which shows that you're obviously not too unhappy with what went down.

You're basically saying "Oh well, it shouldn't have been allowed to go that long, and people do have a right to be upset with what happened, but shutup already".

If you didn't think otherwise, you would have posted something like "I agree with this article", instead you chose to say nothing more than "get over it".

I thought that was lame and I'm calling you out on it is all

Oh, and I know moar aboot teh boxing dan yooo doo nahnanahnanahhhnahhhhh lol geez.

Barrera knew he can beat Khan eventually after rd4 so he decided to continue, I admire Barrera's heart to continue even after suffering a bad cut, losing blood, and having difficulties to see. It would be a lot safer if he decided not to continue... after all inside rd4 it should be ruled as a no contest because the cut was from a headbutt and a rematch is more likely to follow.

Many boxing fans are just dissapointed at the outcome of the Barrera-Khan fight. For me, I don't really care who wins, I just want to see a good and clean fight.

Isn't it ironic how you posted this reply containing a single line of text, containing no counter arguement to anything of the 20/30 or whatever lines of actual debate material of mine you quoted apart from the very last sentence which was me obviously messin about?

People need to stop reading too much into this fight for a number of reasons.

Barrera is old, above his natural weight class, he's clearly not what he was a few years back and was badly troubled by that vicious cut.

On the subject of the cut, the fight should have stopped before round 5. I know people on here have claimed it is Barrera's fault because he wouldn't swallow his pride and admit the cut was too bad, but at the end of the day it is the referee/ring doctor that have the final say. How many fights have been stopped when the boxer wants to carry on? Plenty. It was a disgraceful decision that was made to manufacture Khan a so-called "impressive" win over a "name". The cut was just as bad in the first few rounds as it was in round 5, so why wait? FFS they didn't even call time to look at it until the fourth? Disgraceful.

That said, Khan does look much improved. His hands are held higher for the most part, he doesn't leave his chin out to dry now, he resume's his guard quicker after punching and he's learnt to hold when he needs to (watch the left hook that rocks Khan momentarily).

People need to just accept that this fight showed that Khan has improved.......and that's it. He hasn't beaten a fighter who gave him hell, he hasn't beaten a top contender or even a real good LW, so let's not get carried away.

Lastly, kudos to Khan for wanting another piece of Prescott. He'll get my respect if he gets through that.

+1 on everything except I think they did check the cut again in round 4.
