Klitschko vs. Gomez - Vitali Turns Down WBC Ref, Judge

Maybe, but there's a theoretical chance that the next time I go outside my house, I'll be struck by the debris from an asteroid entering the atmosphere. It's a ridiculously tiny chance, but it's possible. My point is that however unlikely they think the possibility of it going to the cards is, Boente is only doing his job by vetting the officials.Well apparently anything can't happen, according to a lot of people, including Vitali it would seem. The Klitschkos' either end their fights inside the distance or win almost every round. For the Klitschko camp to even worry about judges and referees does show at least a little bit of respect for Gomez.Comment

I hope Vitali loses. I take some comfort in the fact that JCG is halfway decent, but I still don't see the upset happening.Comment

Any sensible manager would turn down a judge and/or ref that he believes to be biased or incompetent. Anything can happen in boxing, and just because you expect your fighter to win easily doesn't mean a professional manager shouldn't cover all bases. No one should read anything into this, other than that Boente is doing his job.
Terrible undercard though.
....Yep!!!! The Gomez folks are getting in deeper and deeper with the more **** they talk. I still think this may be Vits toughest fight since Lewis, but the more they piss him off the worse it's going to be for Gomez.Comment
