He pressures against limited competition (because they generally seem to be the ones trying to move away, and generally don't really have any power that he should be worried about), but he sticks to boxing against the good fighters I think.

Very good clip, not as affective as prime Chavez though

                  You're right.

Ali said that for every step Foreman took, he had to take two or three which would've led to him being tired out in the later rounds (especially under the Zaire heat). So instead of dancing away from Big George, which at that time was close to impossible (I don't remember anyone beating prime Foreman by moving away from him), he chose to let Foreman tire himself out instead.

Ali, Young, Lyle and Peralta earlier in Foreman's career had success against him but none of them were truly able to use movement, all of them had their backs against the ropes and countered inbetween Foreman's wild punches.

When Foreman came back in his 40's, using a lot of movement was the key to beating him.

Ali was a very, very smart man... that's a really brilliant gameplan.

It wouldn't have worked if he hadn't been so tough though!

Ali used the same strategy against other opponents as well but it never worked as successfully since his opponents already knew what he was doing. For example against Ron Lyle he gave away a lot of the early rounds with Lyle simply outworking him without expending any energy and had to stage a late rally to TKO Lyle in order to win the fight.

I remember he used it against Frazier and Norton as well but they never seemed to run out of stamina.
