WAAAAT a MMA fighter PUNCHES as hard as a HEAVYWEIGHT?????

saw this doc about science of mma its on youtube for thoese who havent seen it.

Anyway it mentioned in there MMA fights punch as hard a boxing HEAVYWEIGHTS i find that really really really really hard to believe. I mean as if MMA punch as hard a a Joe Louis or DEmpsey or Foreman or closer to this era a Tyson.

Hell im pretty sure even someone not a heavyweight could punch harder. Maby like Tszyu, Cotto, Hatton, Duran, Trinidad!!!!!

I don't watch MMA much, but the punch that Fedor KTFO Arlovski with looked very hard.

I've seen some other impressive KO's before when watching MMA. I think that anyone who can knock someone old cold with one punch probably has a lot of power.

That may be a different one than I'm thinking of. I know on the National Geographic channel they had a show called 'Fight Science' and they used a middle-aged, nobody as the heavyweight boxing representative.

Besides, what logical reason would make anyone think that the average punch of an MMA fighter, jacks all trades, masters of none, would have a better average punch than boxer who's sport revolves around punching?
