I read your posts. Quite boring but yes I did.
Let me put my point another way, for the sake of EXTREME example:
What if the pound for pound list was a bunch of feather weights and heavy weights? Would that mean Floyd should come out and fight them JUST cause they're ranked P4P?!??
Shouldn't we consider weight difference in our formula amigo?

But the P4P list isn't a bunch of feather weights or Heavy Weights so your logic is B.S. and it holds no substance because it's not reality right now. The reality is that Floyd can fight JMM because he is 135 & only needs to move up 8 POUNDS to be at a catch weight 143, that would be in his favor because Floyd
would have to come down after fighting last at 147 & being retired for over a year. JMM is active and fighting great, it's only 8 POUNDS.
No one's saying JMM shouldn't be stepping up in weight. The guys is obviously a force to recognize.
But You're not seeing the significance in Juan having his FIRST FIGHT at 135!!!!!!
But You're not seeing the significance in Juan having his FIRST FIGHT at 135!!!!!!
He's USED TO BEING IN THE 120's!!!!!
IF HE'S GONNA FIGHT AT 143 OR EVEN CLOSE TO WELTER, LET HIM FIGHT OTHER LESSER WARRIORS BEFORE
JUMPING STRAIGHT AT FLOYD!!!!! HE'S GOTTA PROVE THAT HE CAN HANDLE THE WEIGHT.
COTTO'S ALREADY PROVED THAT HE CAN!

And for the record Miguel Cotto couldn't even handle 140 & kept getting spaghetti'd legged to the point he had to move up to 147 immediately. JMM moved up to 135 & topped Pac. I'm sure he will fight well at 140 or 143
If Floyd beats Marquez, you KNOW people will say, it was because
Marquez wasn't used to the weight JUST LIKE THEY DID TO PAVLIK's LOSS TO HOPKINS.
Remember how much Pavlik said an extra 10lbs affected him?
(btw, Let's not get into arguing about how good Hopkins was, my point: factoring in weight is a BIG thing.)

If Floyd beats anybody at any size people will still discredit the fighter he fought to make Floyd's accomplishments look that much less, so in that aspect it is a lose, lose situation. Floyd should do what's best for Floyd.
Again, you're missing my point.
I'm not even saying Cotto will beat Floyd, cause that's debatable.
I'm saying COTTO IS MUCH MORE OF A CHALLENGE THAN MARQUEZ!!!!!!!
That pound for pound idea made you put horse blinders on. You say: "Marquez is #2 pound for pound, that's all that matters" BULL!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't said anything that wasn't True? "facts"?
You're mixing facts & opinion.
I'm not hating on Floyd. To me hating would be making ignorant statments,
saying a high quality boxer doesn't stand a chance JUST because I don't like him.
YOU DON'T SEE COTTO AS A CHALLENGE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
who's the one that's hating?

then Cotto (FACTS) Facts and opinion is what your stating too because in actuality that is all we have because the fighters make the last decisions. Maybe your not hating on Floyd but your definitely hating on me for having a different opinion and out look on the situation and you proved that by disrespecting my photo. I don't see Cotto as a challenge because he can't even beat a lesser skill, slow, wide looping puncher like Antonio Margarito? How is he going to deal with a real Technical, excellent 12rd stamina, counter punching, defense, speed and conditioning
accurate ring genius?
But Like I said, I'm a fan of the WW division, and of coarse I've picked my favorite. But just cause we identify with a fighter
doesn't mean they're the best.
They'll prove that AFTER the best fights are made.
doesn't mean they're the best.

I am a fan of the WW division too but Floyd proved he was the best no matter what you, me or anybody else thinks. He left the sport as the P4P #1 in the Sport. Cotto had his shot but blew it with Margarito & that's not hating that's true. Just because I don't see Cotto as the best challenge for Floyd don't mean that I'm blind, that just means that I don't think he would match well, so what. You have your opinion and I have mine, won't change who Floyd is going to fight.
