Khan's chin shouldn't be compared to Hearns, Jones, Lewis... They weren't the most durable fighters but all three could take a punch when needed to.

I'm not saying that Khan is as good as Norris was but the only fighter that I can remember having a long, successful career with a chin like Khan's was Terry Norris.

2:34, 2:52, 2:54 - all exxmaples of RJJ getting caught and getting caught flush, on not one occasion did his legs go or does he look fazed/hurt. RJJ in his prime was never complety caught flush because of his speed and reflexes, besids this is a guy that took glancing blows off a real HW. i think its reasonable to say RJJ in his prime had a decent chin - 7/10

this thread is an example of ppl failing to look beyond boxrec and recent fights. calzaghe has been down 4 times in his career, nearly every time he has been down (except posssibly the RJJ KD with the forearm), it has been because of balance issues and not because he was hurt or stunned. as mentioned before he has come back up ton win every time and once was even in the same round when he cored a TKO over mitchell.chin rating 9/10

lennox - alot of ppl have that image of lennox getting KTFO by rahman and its the dominant image when they think of lewis, it was at the time more fuel on the fire and another reason to dislike the HW champ. lennos has actually taken flush shots from big hitters - go watch lewis vs vitali klit (a man who hs a great KO percentage) and vitali catches a past his prime lewis flush on several occasions but lennos doesn't go down.
          8/10

david haye, vlad klitchsko, tommy hearns - all fighters with dodgy chins and all have carved out good careers

Actually Roger Mayweather had a pretty terrible chin as well. He had a long career and won titles in two divisions.

anyone who says lennox lewis had a weak chin is a ****in idiot & has know idea about boxing.he got dropped twice by 2 big punchers who were world champions.he avenged both loses & other than those 2 PUNCHES he was never down.his arrogance got the best of him.wladimir klitschko has been down at least 12 times, golota many times.that's what a weak chin is.

He was only really hurt twice, but he was very defensive. He defended his chin well, minus the two KO losses.

Good point. In the heavyweight division, ANYONE can go down anytime. Those are some big boys.
