Roger Mayweather had a pretty good career and he was supposed to be quite chinny.

Roger's problem was that he had a big upper body and twigs for legs (he was freakishly disproportioned).

Poor Foundation + Julio Cesar Chavez = KTFO.


Although he did do a lot better in the rematch at a higher weight.

Gamboa is a future hall of famer with a chin from china.

common misconception, Gamboa chin isnt the problem its his balance/foot placement. having a high propensity to being put down doesnt necessarily mean a bad chin. wobbling all over the place afterwards and not getting back up is a bad chin. if you come charging in with your feet out from under you and all over the place your going to get put on the canvas.

Ok Muttley I agree with you... People that get knocked down and pop right back up are usally of balance...and I agree that doesnt mean they have weak chins...Tito Trinidad,Gamboa,JMM are some examples of this.

But what about fighters that get wobbled and stunned but hardly ever go down?..Do you consider those fighters to have weak chins? Miguel Cotto is the example I can think of right now...I'm sure there tons more.
