Roach would be a complete idiot to let him fight either of them at this stage, and I don't think Freddie is that much of an idiot (although Warren is, but hopefully Roach will overrule Warren).
His next fight should be against someone just outside world class like David Diaz or Alex Arthur. Then someone like Katsidis, then a rematch with Prescott, and maybe after that he'll be ready to test himself against one of the elite fighters like Funeka or Juan Diaz. And only after that should he think about Marquez.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-14-2009, 08:12 PM.Comment

Khan wants the critics to shutup? The only thing he proved was that he can beat a fighter waaaay passed his prime.Comment

People can lie to themselves all they want, but that fact is this; without depth perception, a fighter, especially a smaller fighter that must rely on controlling range, is useless. Without the cut, the fight would have been much different. As Barrra said he only had one eye, dont care what anyone says one eye in boxing is a massive disadvantage, his eye was full of blood, you could see when he had no blood in his eye at the beggining of the rounds it was a totaly diffrent fight, once the blood was there again he was blinded, i tell you this should be a rematch because im sure Barrera would win, Knockout without a doubt, khan aint got knock out power. i will admit he is vastly improved though and due to blood in Barrera eye it flatterd him slightlyComment

yet another reason why you don't go to europe to fight. this fight should have been called on that cut, but because of obvious home cooking it was allowed to continue. anywhere else and it's stoped. i mean com'on, what was the difference between the fourth an the fifth! I'll tell you today i'll tell tomorrow, khan will never be anything more than a speed bump for any of the top lightwieghts. As Barrra said he only had one eye, dont care what anyone says one eye in boxing is a massive disadvantage, his eye was full of blood, you could see when he had no blood in his eye at the beggining of the rounds it was a totaly diffrent fight, once the blood was there again he was blinded, i tell you this should be a rematch because im sure Barrera would win, Knockout without a doubt, khan aint got knock out power. i will admit he is vastly improved though and due to blood in Barrera eye it flatterd him slightlyHA HA!!!!! DRY YOUR EYES HATERS!!!!!!
so much for all these claims thAT "china chinned british hypejob" kahn was getting kod!!! LMFAO!!!!!
a rematch would be cool but every one knows barrera simply could not compete with kahn on any level!!!!
he landed a headbutt that did more damage to himself than kahn!!
he also landed literally 1 or 2 shots that had no effect on kahn!!!!
as naz`s wife aleasha elphinstone/HAMED is acousin of 2 of my best mates! we had a big party celabrating kahns emphatic victory!
im just sorry barrera got cut! coz it was heading for a spectacular stoppage/ko!
kahn looked amazing! defensive yet aggressive!! he stepped in with blurring combinations while stepping back out of range just as quick!
barrera just (despite his excuses)could not cope with kahn!!
for all the deluded haters who think it should have been ruled a no contest!!
lets have a rematch at the MGM!,however anyboby with 2 braincells knows that this "glass chinned british hype job" was simply far too much for barrera!!
so a rematch is unlikley & despite his excuses i didnt hear marco calling for a rematch!!!!!
amir rammed it down the throat of all his critics!
after seeing that, anyone who thinks barrera was "robbed" of a no-contest are just desparate, delusional haters!!!!!
praise allah & north england!!!!
REVENGE IS SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's unfortunate from Khan's point of view that that wasn't put to the test - it would have been a far better learning fight for him if it had been. This fight was never anything more than a learning fight in any case - anyone who thinks beating a shell of Barrera means Khan is now a great fighter is delusional. But Barrera was a great test of his improvement under Roach, and so far, so good, in that respect.Comment
