how is it for portable gaming though? like need for speed or tom clanceys las vegas or madden?

is it the best portable gaming out there? graphics..... etc..

Yeah, its only competition is the DS. Which if you like kiddy games or a fan of Pokemon then the DS is pretty much useless.

Where as the psp is basically a portable ps2(terms of graphics) with internet compatibility. Which is vastly better than the DS, unless you like pokemon or kiddy games.

not much to brag about though......the reson i got my psp is victorious boxers portable

I want to get that game. The psp just needs more variety. So far everything is just ports from the console games. Nothing psp exclusive.

VB is a really good fighting game its just that the physics and graphics arent real. You cannt go from your corner and to the center of the ring in one step step or teleport behind your opponent. And the graphics of the game are pretty weak. VB by far beats out the Fight Night series in terms of boxing mechanics; sway, blocking, and taking punches. However there isn't any visible damage like black eyes and swelling in the game. And you cant do anything in the corner either. You just read the punch outputs and thats it.

Compared to FN4, VB series is absolete.

Based on the footage I've seen so far, no, but I think it'll be a great boxing game. Ali's jabs and right look really damn stiff. I mean movement and stuff looks solid and Tyson's punches are good. Though Ali seems to every time he throws a jab like goes forward. It doesn't look right or that good at all.

yeah im having my su****ions as well.....but i give the team credit for trying, nothing can be worse than FNR3, thats for sure....

thye say tyson v ali is what its all about which is good once or twice but what i wanted was alom more modern day fighters im sick of the old legends there for some but not for all, have em but please we want more at least 20 fighters in each division

mmm the vb portable looks better than in the ps2......and you dont teleport or ****, sure it still has some arcadie press this punch for special, but you can just not use them.....

and there is visible damage in this one....black eyes, swollen shut, swollen jaws......boxers road psp(form the same makers) even has broken jaws and they affect career.....



fnr4 hasnt even released so how can you tell vb is obsolete.............

Is it because of modding and longevity that they'd never dare bring it out on PC? Imagine the amount of **** that could be modded by communities for a game like that... New arenas, created boxers, custom entrances, weird cheats and tweaks...

No way would they want that. I bet they'd rather all the console users stick to what they bring out and never look at upgrading until the next game. :wanker:

And I don't believe the whole "you need a souped-up rig to play it" deal. They brought GTA IV onto PC, after all.

wrong choice of words. I should have said "if what they make it out to be is true" then VB is absolete.

Miyata's dash isn't fake? C'mon, real life no one moves like that. Its basically like teleporting. If you used the dash from the corner you basically inter the pocket in an instant. Then body shots send opponents folding over all the time. Its fun but its not realistic.


I havent seen the broken jaws. I know that you can drop people in an instant but I didn't know it was a broken jaw. But from my observations I didn't see any damage like swollen eyes and stuff.

Like I said. Boxing mechanics is way better and its fun to play. However, anime vs realistic sim..... Realistic sim looks more real imo. lol

To me the game looks similar to round 3 well the fighting anyway
just tweeked a little..

theres gonna be a demo if you preorder from gamestop.........though i dont know if the demo is exclusive to gamestop or just available before if you preorder in gamestop
