"We developed a system where based on your fighter's performance in the previous round, they earn a certain number of points that their trainer can then use towards either regenerating some of their health, regenerating some of their stamina or healing physical damage like cuts or swelling to the face. And all three of those things are very important to your performance in the next round.

"If you're tired, then you want to recover stamina because stamina helps keep you powerful and resist damage from your opponent's punches. If you're low on health, that means you're pretty close to falling down, so you want to get your health back so you can withstand a few more punches from your opponent without hitting the canvas. And obviously, if you have a huge knot over your eyebrow or a massive gash on your cheekbone and the ref is thinking of stopping the fight, you need to pay attention to that and make sure you can go out and keep working subsequent rounds so you can go and try to pick up the victory.
this sounds pretty gay to be honest......health bars, really????have you guys not seen Victorious Boxers?.....you can win with one punch in that ****....

Combine that with the pimp paddle(psp), and you multiply the awesomeness.

The game's roster looks like a legends roster though. All the old boxers. Might as well call this Fight Night Legends.
theres not much the ps3 that interests me other than MGS 4, which I heard was really good.

chances are I wont buy either, and will instead just play someone elses...like Ive been doing for the past my whole life anyway.
last thing I bought was the Playstation 2 in 9th grade or something.

the psp bothers me. I know its portable and blah blah, but Id rather just read a book or snooze if Im waiting somewhere for something. Video games are only an occasional thing for me, I get very bored if I try to play them more than an hour unless they have interesting storylines.

Ive never got the chance to play those VB games, but Ive heard theyre much more realistic than Fight Night.

and you have to have health somewhat, because damage does pile up in real boxing matches too.

hopefully they have much more flash knockdowns and occasional one punch knockouts in this game though, for really good clean punches.

There are health bars in Round 3, you just cant see them online, you can have them on or off when you play offline.

fnr3 has health bars......even if you have the HUD tured off, they still affect the game.......cant believe you didnt know that.....

this guy is saying a punch to the chin damages more and ****, but didnt say every punch could knock you out, just every punch can change the fight.......

and yeah obviously theres health in every game, its obviously necesary to have limits, but it should not necessarily affect knockdowns and ****....and from his "if your health is low you might get knocked down" comment, i just think they coulda made something better....
