VK had his wit LL. He lost but he showed a ****load of heart and probably gets more cred for that than any of his wins. The Peter fight is a big one too, mostly cuz he was comin off a long layoff.

JMM had his in his 1st fight wit Pac. He shoulda lost but the fact that he survived the 1st rd and did enuf to make the fight as close as it was earned him mad props.

PBF still needs his. Chico may have been it, but he put a lot more burden of proof on himself by talkin **** about WW's then refusin to fight them.

depends on what you mean by career defining. if career defining fight is the fight that most people remember you most by then:

vitaly's career defining fight is losing to lewis. jmm's career defining fight is losing to pac 2x. Both these guy bring it on themselves by chasing after the object of their obsession like little girls.

pbf career defining fight is a close fight with castillo. pbf was so dominant that people are forced to look at a fight where pbf has a ****ed up rotator cuff to judge him by. also. I think if pbf fought mosley, that would change though.

Even Hatton uses the Collazo fight as an excuse for the Mayweather fight. It's like, damn, was he supposed to just run over Luis Collazo??? Collazo has gave everybody he fought problems. And he gave Ricky a helluva problem. No surprise there.

Hatton, imo, looked sharp and ready to scrap in the Floyd fight. That was the best Hatton you'll ever see. And he got knocked out BY THE BETTER FIGHTER. PERIOD!
Agreed. My argument is that the Hatton win was not a career defining win. It was a good win over a guy whose best weight is 140. If Floyd were so great he would have more great wins than Chico and JLC in 2001 and 2002.

pull, we all know that fight will happen right after the klits fight eachother. Floyd will rest on his laurels from 2000-02 4ever

                    Calzaghe seldom leaves your mind.

it depends when u define calzaghes prime cuz all hes big wins came after hes prime imo.
lacy was a superstar the night before so why should that change after he gets demolished by a superior fighter??
mayweathers defining fights are the castillo and corales fights for me. but they was a few years ago and when you cud argue he was coming into hes physical prime. i would class hatton has a defining moment in hes career but maybe not a defining win if you get me. apart from hatton fans nobody was really expecting hatton to win but it was a defining moment because it was two multi weight champions both undefeated fighting eachother which is rare in itself.
