When you say Tyson... it means boxer Mike Tyson.

And most people around the world are familiar with these names...

They are like Jordan, Jabbar, and Magic Johnson in Basketball.

Dela Hoya, Marciano, Duran, Leonard, Foreman, Jones are not too strong and too popular to be a household name IMO...
Your crazy dude, De la Hoya is more of a household name than Tyson is. Theres a reason why hes the all time leader in pay per view revenue, De la Hoya is alot more popular than you think.

Even though DLH and Mayweather have the ppv record, I doubt non boxing fans really know who they are.

I bet there's one mythical boxing name that is well known even by people who have never watched a single boxing match in their lives, and that is Rocky!

      Balboa to be precise! LMAO

if i mention de la hoya somewhere people will say ''oh yea.. that little mexican guy? or some****??''

if i mention mike tyson ''yea, that kid is build, ****in killin everybody, see his last fight?'' blah blah

and the thing is, most people just know the heavyweights of the sport

it's hard for the majority of the public to look up to a fighter that is 5'7, 5'8
