Yeah I watched that fight again about an hour ago. A draw would be fair because Toney had some really strong rounds. As lesser fighter would have gone down when you realise how many bombs Toney late on.

I thought McCallum made Toney look a bit 'wild' in that fight. His footwork and upper body movement left Toney looking out of position / off-balance a lot.

I think Toney was a bit wild in those days, if you watch him in his fight with Reggie Johnson, when he got dropped. He was very aggressive/wreckless throughout that fight. I dont think Toney was the technician, he turned out to be. I seem to remember thinking how wild he got during the Merqui Sosa fight too.

Yeah he'd be tight one minute, carefully picking his shots, then in the next he'd be wide open winging hooks! Great fighter though, Toney.

Why was the Hagler fight never made then? I find it hard to believe that Hagler ducked a fighter!
