Yes, he can win. If Pavlik can hurt Taylor, best believe Froch can. If he uses his jab consistently, he wins.

Depends on which taylor shows up. If a lazy uninspired taylor comes in the ring, absolutely. But no way in hell Froch can beat taylor if he brings his A game.

Of course he can. I don't think it'll happen, but he can do it.

Samurai is right about the jab; if Carl can use his jab effectively for the entire fight, he might give Taylor a lot of problems, as he has had issues with the jab in the past (Wright, Pavlik).

OTOH in the 2nd Pavlik fight, Taylor adjusted quite well and began landing counter rights over Kelly's jab; I can see this happening against Froch as well, especially since Carl throws his jab from the waist and leaves himself wide open for the right hook.

So IMO a good jab alone doesn't give Carl the win, but it gives him his best shot at it. If he doesn't use his jab, his only path to victory is a lucky KO whilst being way behind on the cards.

i think the main question to ponder here is how good is taylors chin if its as good as i think it is i think he will coast to a UD. i see froch tagging him but if his chin is sound then taylor will be able to survive the assault and come back to his quicker hands and better reflexes.

if he is tired however and gets caught and gets caught flush like he was vs pavlik then its lights out. froch is a much bigger puncher than pavlik and has the ability to end it with one punch. but i see jermain coming in good condition and coming in to fight, he did the 12 rounds with lacy wihtout any problems so the extra eight at 168 shouldn't affect him.

froch does have a good jab, its very misleading, and he can catch you when you think you're out of range, but he shoots from the waistline and is so slow it is unreal. he will be very easy for jermain to counter and i see taylor taking the UD.

i think taylor will try and look to fight i know it doesn't make sense but i think if he turn it into a fight he will find it alot easier to slip and counter the slower froch. vs jean pascal froch was very open because he throws wide punches and doesn't really group his shots very well.

After watching the Froch-Pascal fight I wasn't very impressed with him. He was getting tagged a lot and I do believe Jermain is a fairly big step up from Pascal so I think Jermain should win by decision or late stoppage.

I have never really been inspired or impressed by Taylor. OK he is obviously a good fighter but IMO opinion lacks something in ambition and heart and holds out for a win rather than going for the victory.

Froch is also a talented fighter but is untested and I feel we will either see Froch come of age (in boxing terms) or lose in his first real test.

I pick Froch as I believe more is to come from him whilst we have probably seen the best of Taylor.

Froch will win imo, Taylor hasn't impressed me at 168 yet. Though i'm not really a fan of either boxer.

I think that pretty much sums it up.
