ref could have waited about 3 more seconds.

It was surprising how accurate Ortiz was with his right hand after he landed the left. The uppercut and right hook hit flush, despite the guard and head movement of Mike.
I agree, the thing that impressed me more than anything else is how Ortiz was dominating the fight without really throwing many punches. He threw one combo early and I think Mike felt it and then just was so tenative to throw anything else.

Once he threw a lazy jab, Ortiz threw the left over the top and landed it on the temple. It would have been over later if not earlier.

The thing that's scary about Ortiz is, he is naturally right handed but fights left handed. Could mean a devastating right hook and he hasn't even showed that yet.

It was a fine stoppage...The doode was going down...it was a matter of time...people can get really hurt and or killed that way....go ask Oscar Diaz's family if that was a good stoppage or not...

yup...Ortiz walked him down from the opening bell and did it without throwing much volume...and im sure we havent even seen half of the arsenal from that converted southpaw stance

At first I wasn't sold on the stoppage but after watching the replay from a different angle I knew it was over and the stoppage was justified. There was a four punch sequence that sealed the deal for me, hook, upper, hook and another upper all coming from the right hand. I was really impressed with Ortiz.

This shouldnt even be an issue, Ortiz should fight somebody to get that #1 rank for one of the belts.

If the ref did not stop it then he was going to stop it after the next really clean punch that landed, which was going to be comming because Mike was doing nothing to stop it from happeaning. It could have been a touch early but since Mike showed no signs of fighting back or doing anything about the situation he was in, it is hard to fault the ref.

Ive heard he has a very nasty right uppercut, but Ive yet to see a really good one so far. his left hand takes care of business too well, weve yet to see his full arsenal.
