Junior welterweight contender Victor Ortiz does not agree with opinion of last Saturday's bout with Mike Arnaoutis being stopped too quickly. Ortiz stunned Arnaoutis in the second round with a counter and then unloaded with punches as the Greek fighter was pinned against the ropes. Arnaoutis was not punching back and briefly dropped his hands, which immediately caused the ref to jump in and stop the fight. [details]

as a mighty mike fan, sad to say but arnaoutis was in tourble, and had he not been in that big of trouble he would've thrown an punch, clinched, or took a knee, he did neither of the three and the ref jumped in and waived off the fight..........
arnaoutis's fault, not ortiz, if anything he should've complained to the ref and not ortiz, also, he should've put up a better fight and actually had a fight plan. he looked confused in the ring against ortiz, and i contribute that to the trainer buddy mcgirt, the trainer who sends his fighters into the ring without a real game plan or real strategy, we've seen it all too much recently with mcgirts fighters................Comment

It was a little bit premature, but Mike wouldnt have made it through that 2nd round anyway. so its not like it matters outcome wise. I just dislike fights ending so undramatically like that.
ref could have waited about 3 more seconds.
It was surprising how accurate Ortiz was with his right hand after he landed the left. The uppercut and right hook hit flush, despite the guard and head movement of Mike.Comment
