The Mexican culture and mentality is very different that the Puerto rican one. In Mexico it's a discrace to take a knee or throw in the white towel. I'm not saying it's the only way to be, I'm just mearly pointing that out.

Even Marg, after the beating he was taking against Mosley, decided to get KNocked out instead of allowing his corner to call the fight. Some may not agree with it, but it's the way it is.

I'm not saying no Mexican has ever quit, I'm just saying it's part of Mexican culture, which is very different than the Puerto Rican one.
Is that why Chavez threw in the towel against De La Hoya?

As much as I dislike Mayweathers.. Retiring (even when the going gets tough) because imo that is why he retired.. doesn't mean you "quit". He retired from the sport simple as that..
Now if he decides to come back and fight Marquez or Pacquiao instead of Shane or Cotto then I am going to say that he did it to avoid both of them.

Man, you PR's are sensative hu? Did you even read my post? Where did I insult Cotto?

To the first poster, Marg got caught cheating, he was suspended for it, what else do you want? A life time ban? He's not the first to do it and won't be the last.

Is Guerrero a Mexican or Mexican/ American? That's why Mexicans don't always accept the Mexican/American the same way they do their own. It's ****** soemtimes but it's their culture and I'm open minded enough to respect it.

To the second poster, READ MY POST. Man, I swear you PR's get your panties in a ruffle so easily.

And Vasquez "quit" after the 7th round because he practically couldn't breath. I'm not trying to say anything negative about these two guys because they're warriors but to label someone a quitter in these types of situations is just low.

exactly.. there's only soo much you can do or handle.
when you've fought like 3 extra rounds breathing threw your mouth
because your nose is badly broken and simply can't breathe anymore.
                  who the hell blames ya?
I guarantee you all these dudes calling these fighters cowards would
crumble in the face of that much adversity.
this is why they are watching the sport and not participating in it.

Cotto looked like a quitter to me, Boxers say they'll go out on their sheild, or go out swingind, Cotto went down because he was getting his ass beat and couldn't take it anymore and didn't want to fight anymore. Cotto looked like a defeated man form like the 7 or 8 round on. It was so sad. I'm still a Cotto fan for his style and excitement in the ring, but he quit and that's the bottom line.
