Of couarse he don't want to speak about it . Your pride gets hurt when you are forsed to summit. I would rather be kod . But you cant call the man a little *****. He fought his ass off. i liked watching the fight. i am not abig fan of cottos yet. to me he hasn't proved enough. but what he did prove that night is he can take a ass kicking. and come back for more. That makes you stronger over time. yes he quit. big deal, get over it. He didn't retire because of it .Hes still fighting on. He challenged Collotey, which is a hell of a threat. And you got issues if you cant give respect to a fighter. I don't care for cotto as much, but I give him his respect. I don't care for Mayweather, But i give him respect. You got insight yet? I hope so.

All fighters get disrespect from armchair pundits who forget to think before they post.Cotto,Mayweather,Calzaghe,Williams,Hopkins etc.etc. Its unfortunate, but thats life. Its incredible that people that claim to love the sport and take the time to join a boxing forum act this way. Some think that they are funny, and probably laugh at their own posts as they are making them, whilst others misguidedly see some correlation between WWE wrestling and Boxing.F.ucking sad cases in either regard.

Those were clearly two entirely different situations.

The way I feel about it is that if Cotto wanted to quit he would have stayed down on one knee after Marg hit him with that first volley of punches. If he wanted to stop he wouldn't have gotten up. He tried to go on but he had nothing left to give. Cotto didn't ask the ref to stop it. He didn't really do anything except for acknowledge his corner jumping up on the ring with the white towel. He knew it was over, they were going to stop it anyway, what's the point in bashing him? If that makes you feel better at the end of the day then you're a sad mother****er.

Not in the reasons why people stated Cotto quit.

"it was for his health, so that he could fight another day, it was the smart thing to do".

Robert Guerrero looked like he did the same thing.
