Because MMA is more gaphic and brutal to the eyes, it's more demographic to people with short attention spans.

LOL that was nice. But i would have to say that MMA puts together better fight cards when it cimes to match making. Noting like Cotto Jennings Or something like that. I just cant get in to it. Looks a little gay but props to them from learning from boxings ****ups

From what I hear, the atmosphere is always jumping.

Bottom line is that it appears more violent and that's what people want to see. They want to see big one punch KO's and not a chess match style fight. Hell most "fans" don't even like the high skilled MMA fights unless it's a striking match. I bet most of those casual fans would have no problem watching Pavlik vs. Miranda.

Both are fantastic sports. Anyone willing to participate within them at this high of level gets nothing, but respect from me.

mma is alot like wrestling marketing wise. boxing is less adverstised compared to ufc. but the thing I find strange is, if UFC(u fight cheap) is that much better and viewed than boxing then why the **** do their fighters get paid alot less than boxers? Exactly now go beat off to some grappling gloves and let us BOXERS talk boxing
