Well, that's all well and good. How about the one that ended the fight? Would that make you cream your tighty whities?

I gotta say i was also shocked at Marquez backing up onto the the ropes where he had little chance of winning the fight, rather than using a little lateral movement. Took some unnecessary punishment for that.

Maybe it's because Diaz is such a good fighter himself? You cant sit here and tell me that Marquez has these huge holes in his defense based on the Diaz fight when Diaz himself has been punching holes in everyone's defense for years.

Thats what happens when you fight World Class level fighters.

Yeah his defense is flawed, I think he couldn't see Pacquiao's punches coming when he was knockdown and he was stunned by Diaz early. His counter punching skills and overall offense is excellent though.

I think he wanted to fight Diaz when he was backed against the ropes to show he wasn't going to back down. It was unnecessary but, I guess clinching was not part of the game plan.

Completely agree...but we also have to see how Manny does against a top LWW because the Oscar fight really didn't answer any questions on how he can handle a top WW. Still Marquez needs to perform good at JWW or WW against tough opponents to think about fighting Mayweather.

Thats was a cracking shot, as were some of the others he landed. As i said before the guy went to 135 and took out the 2 best fighters straight away.

            Right onto the next reply...

i wouldnt say, barley. He didnt seem hurt. regardless he knocked him out. JMM gets hit alot, i agree, but he can take a shot and he dont quit or get discouraged. hes in your face all the time taking and giving . More than i can say for most 147ders. He shows no signs of weakness with Diaz than he did with Pac

He was getting tagged with basic jabs though and kept backing up onto the ropes rather than using that lateral movement, his head is a little too still so he should keep his hands up more, he got hit with the same left hook countless times.

He doesnt see the shots coming as well anymore in my opinion, but lets see what happens.

I completely agree but, I have been realizing that people have been credit to both guys, which is good, but are saying Marquez is being overhyped or Marquez fans are delusional if we think he needs to be P4P #1 but the thing is, everyone needs to realize even though he wasn't on the P4P list Diaz was the man to beat at LW just a few months ago, and was more of a threat then David Diaz (Manny became P4P king after beating him) but I am comfortable with Manny being number one and Marquez number 2, now they just need to fight each other and settle the score once and for all.
