Hearns would have knocked JMM out real quick at 147.

In the diaz fight, he was taking a pounding, then he got off some could body shots, diaz couldnt close distance as quick and marquez found space for counters and combos.

He is one of the best in the sport, but talk of a chance against floyd (assuming floyd in his prime) and chances at 147 are crazy, he doesnt have the defence he once had, diaz was hitting him with left hooks galore and casamayor couldnt miss him with the left hand, he's lost something defensively. I just dont think there is anyone at 135 that can expose those flaws yet.
On these forums everyone is considered overrated though, that's why I asked. The fact that fans post here sometimes alter the way we look at things. Kind of like how many people made Margarito seem like an impenetrable force until Mosley knocked him out.

Anyways, I didn't get to see Marquez vs Casamayor, but I did see the Diaz fight. He was definitely getting ****** out on the ropes in the early rounds, but the way he dug out of the situation is what make people say he is great. Just like he did against Pacquiao in both fights.

I don't think he beats a prime Mayweather Jr at welterweight, that's a definite to me. We would have to see how he performs at 147 to draw a conclusion now that Mayweather has taken a long layoff.

And yes, i did see him get hit with the same punch 3 times in 1 round, go down, and then adjust.

I dont know what these has to with people stating he can live with mayweather or guys at 147.
pacquiao isnt super human. If he can do it JMM can also. Mayweather moved up to also. JMM seems to be doing fine. moving up and koing good fighters not bums. I think 147 may be too much, but its not out of range, with any of them. 140 would be better.

Credit to marquez, but Diaz beat him up in the 1st half of that fight by landing the same punches over and over again. He deserves credit too.
Did you hear me discredit Diaz in any way? Like to see you try to find me doing that.
You can fire 3 uppercuts? Well, me too. Against a former champion after weathering a storm like JMM did? Let's not get crazy now....

He is good at adapting no question, but that defence is very questionable for me, he doesnt see the punches coming at times, especially from short distances, once diaz closed distance he was taking punishment, even in the 9th round diaz got on top of him and caused him problems, thing is, diaz took a few too many to the body, couldnt back Marquez onto the ropes anymore and that was that.

I gotta say i was also shocked at Marquez backing up onto the the ropes where he had little chance of winning the fight, rather than using a little lateral movement. Took some unnecessary punishment for that.

                  Never said you discredited diaz.

But im not gonna shoot my load over 3 uppercuts, especially when some of them appear to hit gloves.

It doesnt work like that, he could barley handle juan diaz, i cant seriously give him a chance against a legit welterweight.

Manny Pacquaio brings two things to 140-147 weights that Marquez doesnt, freakish speed and power. Imagine pacquaio against juan diaz.
