I know from your words you do not like Vitali. If Vitali is someone who avoids fighting, then his reign as champion will not last long. But if he is truly a fighter, I think he will be difficult to beat. History will tell us eventually how Vitali is.

to anyone taking the piss out of lewis....

he has stopped at the top of his game, which he needs respect for end of the day, you all slag holyfield off for carrying on, he's useless, the fact he maybe champ again one day soon is a sad one

lewis won the fight fair and square, it goes down as a W on his record

it doesnt say on a record 45/3/0 and then say beside it, but one of his fights was only won because his opponent cut his eye

to anyone saying that it was all over in the next two rounds against Vitali, I ask you to look at the fight again Lewis best round was the sixth and the 4th, he took those two rounds so he was coming back into it if you are using the judges scorecards as an indication as to who would have won. (Which is bollox
          anyway check the result)

Finally I ask you before making such assumptions to check the tape for the uppercut 5 secs or so before the end of the 6th that lifting viali off the floor and made him sag on lewis shoulder.

Can you honestly say that he was gonna administer a beating in the next two rounds.

          Come on.

Dont get me wrong I like Vitali but to predict a ko in the next two rounds for either fighter is pure folly in such an equally matched fight.

this being of course after lennox had undertrained as he was due to be in with Fat Kirk, and probably figured he wouldnt need more than 5. However thats not Vitali's fault and Lewis arrogance if indeed this is the case, could have caught him out in this regard, but it didnt cos Vitali was cut to ribbons so guess we will never find out.

Again, Lewis was getting his ass beat and he got lucky that Vitali got cut.
And because The Champ was getting his ASS BEAT, people are mad that there was no rematch. If Lewis was doing the ass whoopin, then no one would be upset about not rematching Vitali.
Vitali woulda got knocked T F O in the next few rounds had it continued, even an outa shape Lewis would have prevailed...

He won the fight fair and square. Fact is he busted Vitali up so bad with his fist he could not continue. That fight goes two more rounds Vitali's eye would have popped out of the damn socket.

Vitali had a golden oppertunity in from of him. Vitali fought a fat, old and out of shape Lewis and STILL got beaten.

This is one thing that kills me about boxing fans. We beg and cry for Evander to get out because he's clearly hurting himself, yet Lewis walks away on top and he gets critasized too. I mean what is it?

Lewis is 39 years old, has all his brain cells, all his money, a new family and is kicking back on a beach in Jamcia right now. He noticed his heart wasn't in it anymore and walked away on top.

              Good for Lennox
Word. Vitiali is pissing me off because he keeps calling out lennox. he lost and lennox won. fair and square. it may have been ugly, but lennox still won. even if lennox came back and vitiali won(which i dont think he would) it would do nothing for him. vitiali needs to get over it.

Lewis would have been knocked out...after all he fell over like a *** at a Liza Minelli concert after the 6th round. He was done. I just love how Lewis was told FIRST that the bout was being stopped, very classy.

All you have to do is watch the very end of the 6th round... Watch when Lewis sits/colapses on his stool!!! Int the 6th round he burned himself out!!! He was done after that!!! He still put on a hell of a show... Both fighters did!!! And that is whY the fans want to see a rematch!!! That was one of the best heavyweight brawls in a long time!!! Give credit to both fighters!!! We probably won't see a fight like that in the heavies for a while!!!

Just in case I'm getting the right impression here, Lewis IS NOT afraid of Vitali and he has nothing to do with his retirement. Every reason Jose listed above makes alot more sense than Lewis running scared. I refuse to believe that.
