I love Duran and watching his old fight, but number one is way too high. I think his biggest knock is the competition he faced. He still was a an amazing fighter and deserves all the respect in the world.

Owning the a division in boxing for years is nothing to sneeze at no matter when it happened.

I'm not a massive fan of Hearns...his skinny legs freak me out! But he could box very well and had a right hand that would have put a hole in a tank!

        Shame about his chin though.

            prime for prime

            130-154

            floyd quits in 9 rounds.

floyd gets ktfo in 10 if he doesn't quit.

his chin was not too bad but not good either.

add that to his very skinny body in the lower weights and the vulnerability to the body that goes with that? not good.

but you gotta be really good to get to his chin and work his body. not very many people are that good though.

                  duran could not beat floyd

                  whitaker-pryor maybe

duran would get frustrated and quit

yeah it's called being too small and old.

let's see floyd campaign at 154 and 160 for a few years.

                    oh wait......he doesn't even fight 147 fighters.

He was a natural lightweight, and quite probably the greatest lightweight of all time too.

Despite this, he gave Marvin Hagler, arguably the greatest middleweight of all time his toughest fight.

The career of Manos de Piedra was amazing.
