    The Roberto Duran Appreciation Thread

I just watched the Roberto Duran - Beyond The Glory and thought I'd start a thread about a true Top 10 ATG.

    The legendary Manos de Piedra.

      duran is just awesome

the word fighter sums up duran perfectly, he fought over 5 different decades, from age 16 til age 50, 120 odd pro fights, four division champ, wins over SRL, davey moore, ken buchanan, esteban de jesus, iran barkely, lots of defences at LW.....

just a fighter in every sense of the word, from when he was a streetkid in panama until he was 50 years old, thats all he did- fight

Yeah my Dad is a life long fan too. It was him who started showing me old LW fights of Duran. Truly amazing. The guy is the very definition of a fighter.

How did you meet Duran? Very jealous!

My pops was a big Duran fan also. He still watches some of his old fights from BITD. When I visit him kickin back and watchin **** from both our fight collections is always fun. Duran was ill in his heyday, and still a tough mofo when he was a bit past it.

one of the greatest of all time.

i like to think #1 but i'm sure people don't have him that high.

i have him as the best of the duran , hagler , leonard , hearns group.

i'd agree with that except for hearns.

don't like hearns that much and don't rate him that high.
